About Me
Zhiqi Liu is a Chinese photographer based in London and Shanghai, specializing in documentary and portrait photography. Her work focuses on society and ecological changes, using images to explore personal feelings and the intricate relationship between people and nature. Liu's background is in documentary photography and traditional darkroom techniques. She continually challenges herself to evolve her practice incorporating commercial elements into her work capturing the essence of daily life and societal emotions to convey deeper meanings. She utilizes light, colour and metaphors to create striking contrasts across various environments and textures, aiming to evoke strong personal feelings.
