According to Levi Strauss, "ritual is a means of mending the rift between man and nature." Nature is not only mountains, forests, and rivers, but also land, which has a place in rural life. People consider it a carrier of emotions, carrying homesickness or prayers for things. As the epidemic made people feel very oppressed and miserable, the locals used the land as a medium to convey their emotions to nature, expressing their desire for freedom in their own way.
I walked among the farmland to record their rituals expressed in the most primitive way. The stones people stacked, the Buddha statues placed on the stone walls, the broken glass table in the field, these artificial objects, the environment, and the sense of ritual interact with each other to explore the relationship between themselves and nature and the reflection on the emotional expression between themselves and the environment.
